Course Description

Visualization 4 Studio  
                                                                                                                                        
The goal of this class is to provide students with the theoretical understanding, practical skills, perceptual vocabulary, and applied experience needed to become effective at creating professional level visual communications for new display screen based user experiences and interface designs. 

The course takes on 3 projects during the semester that employ both analog and digital tools to go from early sketching of ideas and testing with end users to higher levels of production for communicating the ultimate vision for the user’s experience.
 Weekly sessions typically include a class critique of the prior weeks homework, followed by lecture topics and demonstrations, in-class one on one work time, and discussion. The class sometimes works in collaboration with the M4 Studio.

Practiced skills for creative development of effective digital interactive interface designs

Practice of fundamentals for strong visual communications: for idea development and presentation

Practice with state of the art analog and digital tools.

Experimentation with style and visualization technique

1)     Confident, sketching, mock-up and presentation production skills at a professional level for the development and presentation of valuable user interface designs.
